Accommodation: 3-Star Hotel

Welcome to Nepal! Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our team will receive you and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. Hotel check-in begins at 12:00 PM. If you arrive earlier, you may leave your luggage at the hotel and spend some time exploring the nearby streets while your room is being prepared. Kathmandu, the vibrant capital of Nepal, is a fascinating blend of ancient temples, bustling markets, and rich cultural heritage. You can relax after your journey or explore the nearby Thamel area, which is well known for its cafés, restaurants, trekking shops, and lively atmosphere.

In the evening, we will gather at the hotel for a detailed trek briefing. You will meet your trekking guide and fellow trekkers while we walk you through the itinerary, conduct a gear check, discuss altitude safety, and answer any questions before beginning the adventure.

Distance: Approximately 120 kmDuration: 7–8 HoursAccommodation: Tea House

Today, we begin our journey towards the Langtang region with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. Leaving the busy city behind, the road winds through beautiful hills, terraced farmland, rivers, and traditional villages while offering occasional views of the Himalayan peaks on clear days.

Following the Trishuli River for much of the journey, we pass through lively local towns and peaceful countryside before gradually entering the mountain region. As the road climbs higher, the scenery becomes even more impressive, with lush green forests, waterfalls, and deep river valleys accompanying us along the way.

By late afternoon, we arrive at the charming village of Syabrubesi, the gateway to the Langtang Valley Trek. After checking into our tea house, you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before beginning your first day of trekking tomorrow.

Distance: 11–12 kmDuration: 6–7 HoursAccommodation: Tea House

Today marks the beginning of our trekking adventure. Leaving Syabrubesi behind, we follow the Langtang Khola along a beautiful forest trail. The route passes through dense forests of oak, bamboo, rhododendron, and pine while crossing several suspension bridges over the rushing river below.

As we continue higher into Langtang National Park, the peaceful surroundings offer excellent opportunities to spot local wildlife such as monkeys, colourful birds, and, with a little luck, the elusive Red Panda. The sound of the flowing river remains our constant companion as we gradually gain altitude.

By late afternoon, we arrive at Lama Hotel, a small collection of tea houses surrounded by dense forest. After checking into our accommodation, enjoy a warm meal and a relaxing evening while preparing for tomorrow's climb further into the Langtang Valley.

Distance: 14–15 kmDuration: 6–7 HoursAccommodation: Tea House

After breakfast, we continue following the Langtang Khola as the trail gradually climbs through beautiful forests before opening into wider mountain landscapes. As we gain altitude, the trees begin to thin, allowing our first close views of the snow-covered peaks that surround the Langtang Valley.

Along the way, we pass Ghodatabela, a popular resting point where the valley begins to widen and the scenery becomes even more spectacular. Prayer flags, mani walls, and traditional stone houses reflect the strong Tibetan Buddhist culture that defines this region.

By afternoon, we arrive at Langtang Village, which was carefully rebuilt following the 2015 earthquake. Surrounded by magnificent Himalayan peaks, the village offers a unique opportunity to experience the resilience, culture, and warm hospitality of the local Tamang community. After checking into our tea house, spend the evening relaxing and enjoying the peaceful mountain atmosphere before continuing towards Kyanjin Gompa tomorrow.

Distance: 6–7 kmDuration: 3–4 HoursAccommodation: Tea House

Today's trek is shorter, allowing us to gain altitude gradually while enjoying the beautiful views of the upper Langtang Valley. Leaving Langtang Village, the trail passes through open alpine meadows, yak grazing pastures, and traditional stone houses, with magnificent mountain views accompanying us throughout the day.

As we continue higher, the valley widens and the surrounding Himalayan peaks become even more impressive. Colourful prayer flags, ancient mani walls, and small chortens reflect the deep Buddhist traditions that have shaped life in this remote region for centuries.

By late morning or early afternoon, we arrive at Kyanjin Gompa, the highest permanent village on the trek. This beautiful mountain village is home to the famous Kyanjin Monastery and a traditional yak cheese factory, where locally produced Himalayan cheese has been made for generations. After checking into our tea house, you will have time to explore the village, visit the monastery, or simply relax while enjoying the spectacular mountain surroundings.

Distance: 10–12 kmDuration: 6–7 HoursAccommodation: Tea House

Today is one of the most rewarding days of the trek. We will begin early in the morning for our hike to Tsergo Ri (4,984 m), one of the finest viewpoints in the Langtang region. The trail climbs steadily across alpine terrain, and although the ascent is physically demanding due to the altitude, the spectacular mountain views make every step worthwhile.

As we gain elevation, breathtaking views unfold in every direction. From the summit of Tsergo Ri, you will enjoy panoramic views of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Gangchempo, Yala Peak, Naya Kanga, Ganchenpo, and numerous surrounding Himalayan peaks stretching across the horizon.

After spending time at the summit, taking photographs, and celebrating this unforgettable achievement, we will descend back to Kyanjin Gompa along the same trail. The remainder of the afternoon is free to relax, explore more of the village, or enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere before beginning our return journey tomorrow.

Distance: 18–19 kmDuration: 6–7 HoursAccommodation: Tea House

After breakfast, we begin our descent, retracing our steps through the beautiful Langtang Valley. Walking downhill allows us to fully appreciate the impressive landscapes we passed on the way up, with wide alpine meadows gradually giving way to forests and river valleys.

Passing once again through Langtang Village and Ghodatabela, we continue alongside the Langtang Khola, surrounded by rhododendron, pine, and bamboo forests. As we lose altitude, the air becomes warmer and the greenery becomes more abundant.

By late afternoon, we arrive at Rimche, a peaceful stop surrounded by dense forests. After checking into our tea house, enjoy a relaxing evening and reflect on the incredible mountain experiences of the past few days.

Distance: 10–11 kmDuration: 5–6 HoursAccommodation: Tea House

Today marks our final day of trekking as we descend through the beautiful forests of Langtang National Park towards Syabrubesi. The trail follows the Langtang Khola, crossing several suspension bridges while passing waterfalls, small streams, and peaceful woodland scenery.

As we continue downhill, the familiar villages and riverside trails signal the completion of our trekking adventure. The lower altitude brings warmer temperatures and a welcome opportunity to enjoy the changing landscapes one final time.

By afternoon, we arrive back in Syabrubesi, where we will check into our tea house and celebrate the successful completion of the trekking portion of our journey. Enjoy a well-earned rest before returning to Kathmandu tomorrow.

Duration: 7–8 HoursAccommodation: 3-Star Hotel

After breakfast, we leave the mountains behind and begin our drive back to Kathmandu. Following the Trishuli River, the journey takes us through beautiful hills, riverside villages, terraced farmland, and picturesque countryside before gradually returning to the bustling capital.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we will transfer you to your hotel, where you can enjoy a hot shower, relax, or spend some time exploring the lively streets of Thamel.

In the evening, join us for a traditional farewell dinner as we celebrate the successful completion of the Langtang Valley Trek. You will also receive your Langtang Valley Trek Completion Certificate in recognition of this memorable achievement.

Duration: As per your flight schedule

Today marks the end of your unforgettable Langtang Valley Trek. Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out.

Our team will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport in time for your onward flight. If you wish to extend your stay in Nepal or join another adventure, our team will be happy to assist you.

Trek Difficulty

Moderate

The Langtang Valley Trek is suitable for trekkers with a reasonable level of fitness. No previous trekking or mountaineering experience is required. During the trek, you will typically walk 4 to 7 hours per day on a combination of forest trails, mountain paths, stone staircases, suspension bridges, and alpine terrain. Although the highest point of the trek reaches 4,984 m (16,352 ft) at Tsergo Ri, the gradual ascent and well-planned itinerary allow your body sufficient time to adjust to the increasing altitude.
